I came across this article on SLATE.com about the international war over a sign. We all know what a stop sign looks like in America. The same applies to yield signs. Both with international shapes and meanings. In America at first glance this particular sign seems like an unimpeachable bit of sign design. The contrast between the letters and background makes it highly legible. But people in the rest of the world---at least, the kind of people who spend time considering how to mark a means of immediate need. You take a look at the illustration that they want to use as a universal sign for this "action" and tell me what you think it is trying to say! Anybody want to talk about "chem trails"? Oh wait, those are just vapor trails from the exhaust of jet aircraft...that hangs around all day long.....never disapating, but rather turning into whispy "cloud like" formations that sometimes blanket the skies. A few years back I began a conversation on NAFTA, a presentation of President Bill Clintons and his administration. This document laid the groundwork for something else I told you about several years ago. About the plan to combine or "blend" Mexico, The United States and Canada into a more perfect union. A north American Union. But is appears that the north american union has disappeared. There hasn't been much talk onthe subject for at least three or more years and why is that I began to wonder? Surely there are still plans to perpetrate this crime against the citizens of the Republic? Oooohh, wait a minute. Is that-yes, I see it now. A bit of slight of hand going on over there. I cannot believe this. It's the old "switcheroo". They have merely changed their name, most likely due to all the negativity associated with NORTH AMERICAN UNION. So we'll simply change the name, SPP, and voila! Do they think that we are that stupid that we wont recognize whats going on? Oh geez. Most of us WON'T! I sure do miss Lou Dobbs.
I just read where a strong, pre-dawn earthquake knocked down stone and mud-brick houses, barns and minarets in eastern Turkey March 8, 2010, killing 51 people in five villages, the government said. The earthquake occurred while many residents as they slept, crumpling buildings into piles of rubble. Panicked survivors fled into narrow village streets, some climbing out of windows, as nearly 80 aftershocks measuring up to 5.5 and 5.3 magnitude rattled the region. Wasn't there a recent catastrophic 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile? That one displaces some 1.5M people. And didn't Haiti have an earthquake earlier this year that registered 7.0 and killed 230,000 people, an estimated 300,000 injured, and left an estimated 1,000,000 homeless. In the last 30-days there have been over 480 earthquakes around the world. Is this just "what happens" with the Earth, or, are we seeing something of Biblical proportions??
From the new testament in the book of Matthew, 24:4-8 Jesus said unto His diciples of the many signs of His coming (second) and the "end of the world" to "Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.8All these are the beginning of sorrows."
So is what we are seeing the beginning of sorrows?
The cause; a need for "spiritual" financial and material gain. The effect; apostasy in Gods church.
It happened before in the early church, and is happening once again. And it all began with Malachi 3:10 "10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.". From that one scripture the likes of Creflo Dollar, Joyce Meyers, Kenneth Copeland, Juanita Bynum, Benny Hinn, T.D. Jakes and others have themselves built massive churches or "ministries" that take in millions of dollars annually and who espouse the same "prosperity message" that is based upon Malachi 3:10. But what does Gods word say about "prosperity"? Are they preaching a truth or is the prosperity message actually a false doctrine? Here's one mans opinion:
I found this web site calledcity-data.com. It is a very unique web site that collects all kinds of data that you and I can access. It also hosts many forums on various subjects. Some of the comments that I came across in the "Christianity" forum were both reassuring, interesting, and frightening! When asked the questions: "Do you believe in tithing? Do you believe God wants you to prosper ( In all things not just $). Do you feel tithing produces results?" one person wrote "Why shouldn't a person expect reward? This baffles me when I know in the bible it says that if we tithe God will open the windows of heaven and pour out many blessings. It also says give and it shall be given to you. It says that by the measure you give, it shall be given to you. So why wouldn't a person expect a reward especially when God tells you to. God rewards us with eternal life if we accept Jesus as our lord and savior. Should we walk around not expecting to be rewarded with eternal life.". Another wrote "The key word is "reward". And I used the example of Salvation to show that God gives rewards even for that and how it coinside with the fact that God is not one sided. I never thought of God as one sided or selfish. He was shown over and over again he is a loving and giving God. As for Tithing, giving, money, time, God says in his word word that there are rewards. ex. Give and it shall be given to you etc. Don't get me wrong, I don't look for man to reward me but knowing my Great and Awesome God will bless me for being obedient to his word and that he keeps his word." Someone with a different perspective wrote "Hi, I don't believe that instructions are given to believers in the NT concerning tithing, but I believe that God does bless us as we give and even beyond that. God will take care of us and give us what we need. I think that for some a problem may develop if we only give to receive a reward. Would we be content in knowing that God may not bless us in the way that we expect? For example, he may bless us in other ways, building our character and developing the the fruits of the Spirit as we go through trials, hard times, ect. I think about Paul saying that he had learned to be content in whatever circumstances he was in. He knew how to get along with humble means and he knew how to live in prosperity. (Philippians 4) This to me seems to be one of our goals as a believer who trusts in God in all things. Thanks and God bless." And finally the comment that I most identify with said, on Malachi 3:10 "I took God up on this offer and and I did test Him and He proved faithful yet again. My life is over flowing with His blessings, and it's not money I'm talking about, it's peace, joy, contentment that obeying the Lord brings."
I know about prosperity, but is THIS what God had in mind for His heirs..HERE ON EARTH? Where's the giving in all of this? Mind you, this is only one example.

Scores of Islamic students staged protests outside Jakarta's parliament and in at least three other major Indonesian cities on Friday March 5, 2010 against President Barack Obama's upcoming visit to this predominantly Muslim country. They also threw shoes at large pictures of Obama's head just like that Iraqi journalist who was sentenced to a year in prison for throwing his shoes atU.S. President George W. Bush during a news conference in Baghdad in 2008. Why oh why do they feel so strongly against our President? Why does his impending visit cause shoes to come flying off and in his direction? Does he make YOU want to take off your shoes and throw them at his picture too?

On August 5, 1981 President Ronald Reagan fired 11,345 striking air traffic controllers after they refused his order to return to work, thereby busting the union. On February 17, 2010 a child was heard directing air traffic at John F. Kennedy airport, only one of the busiest airports in THE WORLD, and naturally people are upset! Gee I wonder why??? This sounds like a parent who took the idea of "take your child to work day" a little too far! So how did this happen? What is the "back story"?
Apparently the controller in question brought children on two occasions last month on February 16th & 17th during what was then a week long winter break for many New York schoolchildren. The recordings were posted on livestc.net, a web site that has all kinds of actual controller conversations. I found a lot of very interesting recordings, some of which makes you wonder just how safe ARE WE when flying when youhave air traffic controllers bringing their children in with them and allowing them to actually talk to pilots? Is this crazy? Or am I just crazy for thinking it's crazy?

That is, a complex number, c, is in the Mandelbrot set if, when starting with z0 = 0 and applying the iteration repeatedly, the absolute value of zn never exceeds a certain number (that number depends on c) however large n gets.
When computed and graphed on the complex plane the Mandelbrot Set is seen to have an elaborate boundary which does not simplify at any given magnification. This qualifies the boundary as a fractal.
The Mandelbrot set has become popular outside mathematics both for its aesthetic appeal and for being a complicated structure arising from a simple definition, and is one of the most well-known examples of mathematical visualization. Benoît Mandelbrot and others worked hard to communicate this area of mathematics to the public.
